Many of the adults in our Fellowship expressed an interest in continuing their learning. A recent survey by the board has found member interest in various topics. The two group topics were books and movies.

Book Discussion Group-This group focuses on books in a particular area of interest; literary, topical/bestseller, etc. Each participant suggests a book and leads the discussion with the group. Other times our Fellowship has taken part in discussions with outside groups reading an assortment of books, such as:

UUFLV Fellowship – The Fellowship had their own discussion on the book Amity and Prosperity: One Family and the Fracturing of America by Eliza Griswold.

Westmoreland Reads— The Fellowship had discussions of the book Rising Out of Hatred: The Awakening of a Former White Nationalist by Eli Saslow on Zoom.Then the author presented his book at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art, 221 North Main Street, Greensburg, PA 15601 on October 13, 2022.

NAACP Johnstown Branch— The NAACP had discussions of the book, Banished From Johnstown: Racist Backlash in Pennsylvania by Cody McDevitt on four different nights and many Fellowship members participated. The author will appear at Greater Johnstown High School Auditorium, 222 Central Avenue, Johnstown, PA 15902 on February 13, 2023 at 7pm and the presentation will be Live Streamed.
