October 3: “Religion, Spirituality, and the LGBTQIA+ Community: A Complicated Relationship” Much of organized religion has a history of officially–and often brutally–condemning the LGBTQIA+ community while sometimes making exceptions. We will briefly examine this brutal and complicated history and explore how to support members of the LBBTQIA+ community who also are members of a religion that has often rejected them.
